Position Summary: The Administrative Nurse Coordinator (ANC) serves as the hospital clinical administrator during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. The ANC is responsible for issues related to staffing, patient/family relations, risk management, clinical coordination, patient placement, public affairs and communication, resource pool staff assignment, evaluation, mentoring, and central nursing office operations. Plans for, leads, coordinates, and facilitates the provision of quality care and service from a hospital-wide shift-specific perspective. Ensures appropriate distribution and allocation of supplies/equipment and provides for adequate numbers and mix of staff to deliver nursing care. In collaboration with administrative directors and managers, the ANC provides leadership, consultation, and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary teaching environment and is the primary back-up for front line managers in their absence.
Education: Registered Nurse, currently licensed in Vermont. BSN required. Masters Degree preferred, preferably in nursing or a related health field.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience. Healthcare leadership experience.
