Position Summary:
Position will be split between Pediatrics and Upper Extremity according to clinic needs. Provides comprehensive health care to patients in various states of health or illness in collaboration with one or more physicians using guidelines agreed upon with physicians. Practices medicine as part of the Physician directed team in those areas directed to do so by their physician group. Provides care to patients in various states of health and/or illness under the scope of practice developed with their physician group.
Education:
Successful completion of educational program recognized by the national Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, certification as a Vermont Physician Assistant through completion of Board approved apprenticeship and evaluation or graduation from the board-approved P.A. progam. Must have P.A. and Bachelors Degree.Successful completion of a CAAHEP approved PA educational program. NCCPA certification is expected. Must hold certification from the Vt. Board of Medical Practice as a PA. Must have a bachelor's degree, master degree preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience as a physician assistant desired.
