Position Summary:
The Patient Account Representative functions independently within a payer team environment to appropriately resolve patient accounts by performing billing and follow-up activities to effectively collect balances due on assigned accounts. The expertise of each PAR enables the team to maximize hospital reimbursement while maintaining favorable public relations. The PAR is assigned a specific portion of the Accounts Receivable and is held accountable for the activity within the assigned A/R.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree preferred.
Experience:
Billing Experience preferred, Health insurance background highly preferred, basic computer skills are required.
