Medical Home Support Spec - Per Diem

University of Vermont Medical Center - Burlington, VT

This is a per diem position located at The University of Vermont Family Medicine Milton. The hours are 8am - 5pm.  Occasional weekends will be required.  May work at other Primary Care sites.

Position Summary:

The Medical Home Support Specialist is an integral part of the patient experience and a key contributor to delivering high quality customer service to our patients and visitors that is caring, consistent and reliable. The incumbent provides administrative support in the medical home setting to the patients, families, visitors and to members of the care team and administrative leadership. This position includes a high volume of phone calls, management of the waiting room with direct interaction with our patients and charge entry.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Coursework in administrative services or medical sciences preferred.

Experience:

Must have at least one year of experience in a clinical and/or administrative setting, preferably in a primary care. Must have strong data entry skills and excellent customer service skills. Must be able to multi-task and work independently.
