Sales Operations Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for working with internal departments involved with the sales process to ensure a clean, accurate and timely client sales order. This individual will be expected to develop continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and scalability.  Other responsibilities will include maintaining and organizing the company’s product pricing catalog, sales order processing into the company’s billing engine, monthly commission’s calculations, sales-related analytics and reporting, as well as client hierarchy maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Order Review and Processing

  • Document and Inform/Reinforce existing process and requirements
  • Review incoming customer Sales Orders for accuracy and completeness in accordance with company’s policy

  • Interact with sales executives to update incomplete sales orders as required

  • Upload of sales orders into company’s billing engine for invoice processing

  • Propose and implement recommendations for improvement with organization and process for sales orders

  • Document and maintain records for processes and procedures (digital and hard copy if necessary).

Product Catalog Management

  • Collaborate with Product Innovation, Professional Services, and Company Leadership

  • Update the Company’s Pricing Product Catalog in Support of New Products and Current Product Refinements

  • Act as the Department’s Subject Matter Expert with Other Organizations for any Product Catalog Related Questions and Issues

  • Propose and implement recommendations for improvement with organization and process for the pricing catalog

  • Document and maintain records for processes and procedures (digital and hard copy if necessary).

Commission Calculations and Reporting

  • Calculate Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Commission Payments per the Various Company Commission Plans

  • Communicate and Report Commission Payments to the Company’s Business Development Organization

  • Address any Questions or Concerns Related to the Calculations

  • Provide Final Payment Details to Payroll for Processing

  • Design and deploy various sales reporting and analytics (i.e. daily trending report)

  • Document and maintain records for processes and procedures (digital and hard copy if necessary)

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required

  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales operations, customer billing, or financial analysis

  • Work experience in the software-as-a-service, IT service, or Telecom industry is preferred

  • Experience with Intacct Financials preferred

  • Strong desire and aptitude to learn a new system required

  • Excellent working knowledge Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Microsoft Excel

  • Experience working in Salesforce.com or other CRM tools

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work in a standard office environment utilizing a computer and standard technology-related equipment and normal office equipment.
