Environmental Services Worker II - Night Shift

University of Vermont Medical Center - Burlington, VT

This is a full-time night shift (11:00PM-7:30AM) position scheduled to work Tuesday-Saturday. This employee is responsible for the night shift cleaning of discharged patient rooms and the cleaning of infant isolettes.

Position Summary:

The Environmental Services Worker II is responsible for the cleaning of all areas of the facility with the exception of the OR.  The ESW II knows how to handle cleaning issues or knows the appropriate resources available to solve the specific problem.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Satisfactory completion of Environmental Services Orientation Training Program within three months after hire. Meets the physical demands of the job as evaluated by functional screening.

Experience:

Prior health care or hospitality industry cleaning experience is highly desirable.

Some of the physical requirements for this position are as follows:

Lifting                   40 lbs

Carrying               40 lbs

Pushing                40 lbs

Pulling                  40 lbs
