CSR Assistant - Per Diem Nights

University of Vermont Medical Center - Burlington, VT

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for retrieving and processing incoming instrumentation and equipment. Performs cleaning duties and prepares utensils and general nursing trays/OR trays as directed, and restocks sterilized items in designated areas. The CSR Assistant also provides assistance to all hospital areas for patient related clinical equipment and is responsible for assuring equipment needed by the nursing units is properly assembled, cleaned, maintained and delivered. Responds to Transport Tracking calls. Mandatory for assistant to carry a beeper at all times.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

This position requires strong comprehension and command of the English language. One to two year of experience in a health care setting is preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills and outstanding attention to detail to be successful in this role. Exceptional communication skills are needed and used in an often urgent environment. Experience in inventory, pick pack or processing strongly preferred.
